demo parameter
editThis template passes |demo=yes
to {{Tfm/dated}}, but that template does not use a parameter named like that. Am I missing something or is this code that is no longer in use? --Gonnym (talk) 15:05, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
You are invited to join the discussion at Template talk:Infobox royalty#Infobox advisory detached from infobox. (relating to a recent edit that had the effect of hiding all non-inline TfD tags on mobile) * Pppery * it has begun... 16:03, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Template-protected edit request on 25 August 2020
editThis edit request to Template:Tfm/dated has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Please add the .mbox-tfd class to this template to make it easier for this template to be detected using code. (This is a templates for discussion nomination template, so it makes sense, but feel free to do tfm.) Aasim 06:12, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Primefac (talk) 10:49, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I find this request to be perfectly clear. Done * Pppery * it has begun... 13:56, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, sleep-addled brain looking at requests, for some odd reason I was looking at {{tfm}} itself. Sorry 'bout that. Primefac (talk) 14:53, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Better handling with merging a template with a module
editThe current version of the template does not allow for merging a template with a module and setting one of the display types as |type=
is also used to set the merge target as a module. There are a few ways to fix this. One would be to add another parameter to set if the target is a module. Another would be to just use the full link name, including the namespace. I don't see a reason why writing "Test module" instead of "Module:Test module" would be better (at best, you need to remember not to copy the full name).
I've edited the sandbox with a version with the above change. Gonnym (talk) 12:18, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Seems reasonable, though the Twinkle folks will want to know about it. Primefac (talk) 12:24, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
- Notified now. Gonnym (talk) 12:31, 3 March 2023 (UTC)
