Conversion to embedded tables

In an earlier WT:FOOTY discussion (see here) consensus seemed to be that standing tables should be embedded in articles rather than a template. This has been done for many European leagues, but not yet for events with group stages. I was thinking to roll it out for Euro 2024 group tables initially, because it is not used extensively yet, and spread that more widely later. Does anybody see any issues with depreciating this template and link to the tables in the main space for articles etc. (N.B.
