Suggest adding "rfcu" link to User5
editSince User5 is used extensively at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets, it would be very helpful to have one more link at the end to find any checkuser page that exists for the user. The following code should be added just before the final parenthesis:
<small>•</small> {{rfcu|{}|rfcu}}
Jimbo Wales
would then result in:
Jimbo Wales (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log • rfcu)
For an example of this button in actual use, see Usercheck, which looks for a background of disputes:
Monicasdude
→ Monicasdude (talk · contribs · count · logs · block log · lu · rfa · rfb · arb · rfc · lta · socks)

- Very helpful, thanks! I was going to add the new option to the "help" info, but the page is protected... Can someone add that please? :) --Elonka 17:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Please revert!
editI like the concept of the conditional links, but the last change is messing up WP:SSP. Please revert. --Akhilleus (talk) 19:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Alright, reverted. What was it doing to the page? Neil (not Proto ►) 20:29, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, it looks like it's still happening, at least on my computer--go to the SSP page, scroll down to the Classicjupiter2 case, and the listing for Protector777 is munged, and the cases after that don't display properly. Weird thing is, things look ok on the case subpage. --Akhilleus (talk) 20:42, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I changed the template for Protector777 from user5 to usercheck at the case subpage (Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Classicjupiter2), and the SSP page displays properly now. Still, it seems like there's some bug with user5. --Akhilleus (talk) 21:13, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Should be ok now ... I think. Neil (not Proto ►) 18:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

editprotected Please fix it so that the empty space doesn't appear when the rfcu doesn't exist. BuickCenturydriver (Honk, contribs) 22:17, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Although it required me to purge the cache before the changes took effect. Cheers. --MZMcBride 03:25, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
span
editeditprotected
The template fails to close the <span class="plainlinks">
around the links.
Note Example (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) this link should have an external link indicator and does not.
Please add </span>
immediately before the closing parenthesis )

ifexist needs to go
editThis template is responsible for several pages in Category:Pages with too many expensive parser function calls. The ifexist call will need to be removed. I suggest simply replacing the RFCU conditional with an unconditional link. If the link is red, people will realize that means the page doesn't exist. — Carl (CBM · talk) 15:45, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Broken for names beginning with *
editAttempting to report suspected sockpuppet User:*myl2000*, I found the user5 template is broken for names that begin with *. Displays like so:
[[User:
* myl2000*| * myl2000*]] (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log)
Is there a workaround or what do I need to do to fix this? Thanks! TheMolecularMan (talk) 00:34, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
rm rfcu link
editeditprotected
RFCU is no more, so the rfcu ink in this template is obsolete, and should be removed, Mayalld (talk) 14:23, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not done for now. The RfCU links will still be valid for the pre-migration cases. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 01:09, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- I've removed it - I don't think we should keep these links to an obsolete process forever. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:38, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
