Explanation for redirects: template:Vecmath and template:Vecmath/doc

After creating this template, I tried to wrap {{math}} around some sample formulae which included the {{vec}} template in my sandbox (only in edit mode without saving) and upon previewing, it didn't work - all that occurred was a blank line where the formula should be.

So then created the {{vecmath}} template with ludicrously stupid coding in attempt to "shield" it from {{math}}, while placing {{math}} coding within {{vecmath}}, so when {{vecmath}} is inserted into {{math}}, it should work. It did work!... With a very annoying amplification in size due to the 165% font size intrinsically in {{math}}.

After stripping the code down in {{vecmath}}to examine/experiment possibilities of fixing I suddenly realized the {{vec}} does indeed work inside {{math}}. So there is my justification of those redirects and they are freely open to nuke (delete) by deletionists!! M∧Ŝc²ħεИ_τlk 18:10, 6 March 2013 (UTC)

Candidate articles to try this template

For now vorticity equation (template has been added) and vorticity (not yet added). No, I'll not add this to many articles, just one or two for now and see if there's negative feedback, as soon as there is this template may have to be depreciated depending on the circumstances (not just personal opinions like "I just don't like it", such a lame excuse for an excuse...). Unnecessary hiding

I wrapped the code with <includeonly>...</includeonly>, so that you don't get the default behavior of the template to appear in the upper left corner of the page (it kind of looks odd). It was reverted with the comment "Unnecessary hiding". Is there a rule for when to wrap the code with <includeonly>...</includeonly> and when not to do so? — Tentacles^{✉ mailto:Tentacles} 15:33, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

No rule per se, but a template page should by default show it's output. Without showing, preview becomes impossible. -- [[User:Edokter]] {{talk}} 16:59, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

Issue with using {{vec}} inside {{math}}

We should always use the {{vec}} template inside {{math}} (e.g. to get the proper math font), but there is an annoying issue: the arrow gets much too high then. How could this be fixed? — Tentacles^{✉ mailto:Tentacles} 15:52, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
