Plus, the Nicktoons work group has been deleted due to low activity and has been removed and transferred to WikiProject Nickelodeon as a task force. It is request that to make changes from the sandbox. Thank you for your time. JJ98 (Talk) 19:25, 2 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Now that the Animated films work group is linked to {{WikiProject Film}} with the parameter |Animated=yes, could we please change the maintenance categories for images and infoboxes like this, so that all the parameters for both projects are feeding into the same categories? Right now, we have separate task force and work group categories for the same reasons. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 03:14, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 30 April 2014

Could someone please change the names of the maintenance categories for the Animated films task force like this, so that all of them are uniformly using "animated films" in the title? Category:Animated films articles needing attention already exists, but the unreferenced, cleanup and comments categories would need to be either redirected or renamed. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 18:27, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

You need to seek out consensus for such a change. Arbitrarily changing the names of the categories shouldn't be done without some form of consensus.—cyberpower ChatOnline 17:13, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
@C678: This appears to be related to Template talk:WikiProject Film#Template-protected edit request on 30 April 2014. --Redrose64 (talk) 17:45, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I'm not seeing the relationship. I'll leave that one in your hands, since you already have a great deal of involvement in this area.—cyberpower ChatOnline 17:56, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
See the third post - the one by Fortdj33 dated 18:11, 30 April 2014 (UTC) - and follow the diff link in that post. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:44, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I didn't consider this to be an arbitrary request, since all the other subcategories of Category:Animated films articles needing attention already use "animated films". Just trying to keep everything consistent. Fortdj33 (talk) 18:55, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. I'm in agreeance with Cyperpower (Cyperpower678—[[User:{{{3}}}|{{{3}}}]]) on this one and don't see the connection. Lacking that, a consensus will be needed. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 13:19, 17 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Several changes have been made though out sandbox of the banner including the removal of the World animation work group due to minimal activty, as well as the removal of the importance parameters for each work groups, and image changes as well. It is requested to make change from the sandbox. Thank you. JJ98 (Talk) 09:47, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Never mind. It doesn't need one right now. I need to establish a consensus to make changes to the banner. Right now, the project is not very active since there is few members. JJ98 (Talk) 13:39, 25 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Change photo requests to image requests

edit

As part of a nearly-completed shift to distinguish requests for photos from requests for images in general, it is requested that this template be modified to place talk pages in "Wikipedia requested images of..." categories, rather than the old "Wikipedia requested photographs of..." categories. As such, please supplement all references to "photo(s) of..." and "photograph(s) of..." with "image(s) of..." in both the template and its documentation, while maintaining backwards compatibility for the old "photo" parameters. In particular, change "photograph or picture" to simply "image". Note that the "Wikipedia requested images of..." categories have already been created. Thank you! — s w p b T 15:30, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Swpb: I've already mock-up in the sandbox. Correct me if I'm wrong if I did something bad. JJ98 (Talk) 17:43, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Technical tweaks

edit

I have tweaked the code on the sandbox to add the notes via a "hook" rather than in the meta-template's central code. No functionality should change as a result. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:24, 30 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Description of suggested change: I wanna add my Skydance task force in the Syntax. It's very new and i got it all set up. I just wanna add it since there's a lot of Skydance Media things going around and i was wondering if i could add it or not. Cause if so, i really need to try to do this for Skydance.

@BMA-Nation2020:   Not done:, for three reasons: (i) your request above is unclear - and whilst you have used the {{TextDiff}} template, it has no meaningful content; (ii) please make your requested changes to the template's sandbox first; see WP:TESTCASES; (iii) please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{Edit template-protected}} template. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 11:28, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
do i have to do use {{TextDiff}} for the request thing? BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 18:51, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
No, it is preferable to make suitable edits at Template:WikiProject Animation/sandbox. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:23, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
done. it's put in. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 22:53, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
No, it's not. I synchronised the sandbox some hours ago, and there have been no changes since then. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:58, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see. You made these edits to the template documentation. That is not the sandbox; and you should not add parameters to the doc until the template itself recognises those parameters. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:43, 18 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
oops. i tried to put them back but you were right, it's not the sandbox. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 00:36, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
there @Redrose64:. it's fixed. i'm so sorry about the confusion. it told me to edit there but i didn't know where. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 00:50, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
The box at the very top of this page states "Any contributor may edit the template's sandbox. Functionality of the template can be checked using test cases."
Anyway, I have made some adjustments to the sandbox, but you have not set up any test cases, and I would still like to see consensus from WikiProject Animation. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 12:00, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
How do i do that? BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 17:39, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Earlier on, I posted a link to WP:TESTCASES: please read it. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:54, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
example? BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 23:30, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
No, you have to provide the examples on the testcases page, demonstrating that your proposal works as intended, and also does not break existing usage. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:50, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
i don't know how. i checked but i have to see how it works, though. BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 00:45, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me, people of the Wikiproject Animation service but let me try to make it specific: After working on a few articles on Skydance Animation like Luck and Blush, I have recently created Wikipedia:WikiProject Animation/Skydance Media work group and not only i need to modify the Template:WikiProject Film but I need to modify the Template:WikiProject Animation to include what kind of category the articles related to films from Skydance Media belong to. Since there are a lot of Skydance films, i wanna put them all down on the list and using Skydance=yes as a way to know each film is supported by our task force.

There's also a matter of doing it for Television, Video Games and Sports due to Skydance Television, Interactive, New Media, and Skydance Sports. All and all, i wanna make a group for people who like Skydance Media and it's divisions and making page based on Skydance's films, games, and sports docseries like Good Rivals. Can i please add Skydance to the template so i can check every last one of Skydance's films? BMA-Nation2020 (talk) 02:40, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@BMA-Nation2020:   Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{Edit template-protected}} template. You also need to address the outstanding problems in the section above. --Redrose64 🦌 (talk) 13:21, 3 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
