??? This article has not yet received a rating on the Project's quality scale. Please rate the article and then leave a short summary here to explain the ratings and/or to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the article.

Not bad. I have two issues on my mind. 1) Should we tag articles both regarding quality and importance? If so, I can dig up the relevant code. 2) A link to the Portal would be nice. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 01:24, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I definitely think we should tag articles according to quality and importance. I am still new at this, so any coding help would be very much appreciated. - Sam 16:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The template looks fantastic now Valentinian, thanks for all your help! - Sam 18:49, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Glad you like it. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 19:03, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Size

edit

The template is very tall compared to other wikiproject templates. I think it would look a lot better with less text. Take a look at the swedish template, they have moved the (FAQ) notice up to the first paragraph, making the class box more compact.

Also you can make the text "Please rate the article and then leave a short summary here to explain the ratings and/or to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the article." shorter. Carewolf 15:59, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Making colspan actually works so that the text becomes wider would help. I am not really good at these templates though Carewolf 16:16, 2 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Portal box

edit

Why not include the portal box as other templates do (i.e. Template:WikiProject Sweden)? --Ysangkok (talk) 23:41, 19 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Could the documentation be moved to a subpage and the {{documentation}} template used.

Would it be possible to change the location of where articles are place from Category:Denmark articles needing images where there are only few in the list to Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Denmark which is a syntax more in common with most photo requests? In the spirit of WP:BOLD I have added your image. Looks good to me. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:51, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

New WikiProject Denmark logo (SVG)

edit

I'm suggesting we change the logo to the SVG version. Compared to the current image, the SVG is smaller in size and more consistent with the logos of other countries' WikiProjects (see File:WikiProject-Iceland-Logo.svg, File:WikiProject-Faroe Islands-Logo.svg, File:WikiProject-Aland Islands-Logo.svg, File:WikiProject-Finland-Logo.svg) -Iketsi (talk) 13:19, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

MAIN_CAT

edit

I suggest to add:
MAIN_CAT=WikiProject Denmark articles

It will make it easier to track the articles (lots of project has this parameter. Christian75 (talk) 12:52, 30 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Redirect?

edit

Why does this banner not support the redirect class? Sam Sailor 08:27, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Sam Sailor: Because the |QUALITY_SCALE= parameter has not been set, so the standard quality scale is used - which does not include redirect. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 18:36, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, as always interesting to learn something new. (Your name I remember well for being the first time I saw someone mention WP:LISTGAP. What an eyeopener.) And what do we do with redirects in these cases, set them to |class=NA? The "upgrade" to include the redirect class would be inline or with |QUALITY_SCALE=subpage and {{WikiProject Denmark/class}}, right? When do projects consider that? Sam Sailor 19:47, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
With the talk page of a redirect, you should be able to leave |class= blank - or omit the parameter. Whichever you do, it will auto-set to NA (and categorise in Category:NA-Class Denmark articles); I can think of two advantages to doing this instead of explicitly setting |class=na:
  • if the redirect is converted to a full article, the talk page banner will then automatically change to showing "???" (and categorising in Category:Unassessed Denmark articles)
  • if the WikiProject template is amended to provide for Redirect-class, talk pages of redirects will then automatically change to showing "Redirect" (and categorising in Category:Redirect-Class Denmark articles)
There are three possibilities as to how to add Redirect-class to this template. Two of them you have mentioned (inline and subpage); the third is to persuade those who monitor {{WPBannerMeta}} to include Redirect in the standard and extended quality scales. Since that one isn't likely to succeed, the thing to do is to obtain consensus at WT:WikiProject Denmark. Then it becomes a choice of inline or subpage - for a template like this, with no taskforces and no non-standard categorisation, inline is simplest: this line
 |class={{{class|}}}
would be replaced by these two lines:
 |QUALITY_SCALE=inline
 |class={{class mask|{{{class|}}}|redirect=yes}}
we would then create Category:Redirect-Class Denmark articles) and wait for it to populate - which should happen automatically if talk page banners do not have |class= set to any explicit value. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:49, 17 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Redrose64:A belated return here to say that your detailed answer is much appriciated, and deserves more than just a press of the thank-link. Thank you. Sam Sailor 14:52, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Template-protected edit request on 22 November 2019

edit

Can you add

 |QUALITY_SCALE         = extended

underneath the |IMAGE_LEFT_LARGE = 50px.

The change will affect Category:NA-Class Denmark articles; there are 7,302 pages the have been rated "NA" since the template does not recognize the parameters. After the change, it will automatically categorize the 7,302 pages. This will be easier for the editors to patrol specific pages such as reviewing files, draft articles, and templates. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 12:44, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@CAPTAIN MEDUSA:   Done Seems pretty uncontrovertial, so I went ahead and made the change, but if there is strong objection from WP:WikiProject Denmark I can change it back. --Ahecht (TALK
