Any interest in updating this template to modern standards?

Unlike other similar templates ({{WikiProject Africa}}, {{WikiProject Asia}} {{WikiProject Oceania}}, {{WikiProject South America}} and {{WikiProject Caribbean}}) this template does not support country parameters linking to each country's WikiProject. It would be good if you could implement this function, to establish consistency with other projects, and enable a standard look and feel to Wikipedia. I would like to standardize things using templates, but it's rather difficult when some continents / regions do things one way, while others do it another.
