Updates

edit

Would anyone object to modifying this Banner to add an importance scale? See: Template:OH-Project/Sandbox for example. §tepshep¡Talk to me! 17:05, 22 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Error in this Template?

edit

I don't know what is different in this template, but something is causing every talk page it is placed on to appear in Category:WikiProject banners with quality assessment (which should only contain template description pages). dramatic (talk) 10:09, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It was a small error, the server caught up and everything should be back to normal now. §hep¡Talk to me! 03:57, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redirect template

edit

I created a template redirect Template:Wikiproject Ohio, because there are many other similar project with such a template, and in case anyone forgets. SpencerT♦C 15:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{editprotected}} Please replace with the content at Template:OH-Project/Sandbox, minus the sandbox notice at the top. Thanks! §hep¡Talk to me! 05:45, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Aligning to the left

edit

I'm not sure if anyone cares or not, but if you check out this, the text is showing up over to the left instead of centered like the others.--Rockfang (talk) 06:42, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Everything looks the same to me. What browser and skin are you usin' ? §hep¡Talk to me! 03:53, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm using the default MonoBook skin and IE 7. I tried using Safari on my roommate's Mac, and it is centered. If anyone else using IE 7 is reading this, please respond with how it looks in your browser.--Rockfang (talk) 04:41, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Update: I narrowed down the problem. In Special:Preferences on the Misc tab if you have the Justify paragraphs option ticked, it moves the nested project name to the left. I'm guessing it has something to do with the coding of this specific project template. If it was a site bug, I'd assume the others would be affected as well. I don't know much about writing templates, so someone else should probably investigate further.--Rockfang (talk) 04:53, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I use IE7 and Monobook as well, I don't have Justify paragraphs ticked. Here is a screenshot: Image:WPOH Banner.png. It's not this specific banner, as we use a Meta template. If there is a problem with the coding you can spot it needs to go to Template talk:WPBannerMeta where that person watches. Best, §hep¡Talk to me! 07:03, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the info. I'll post the info over there as well.--Rockfang (talk) 17:43, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{editprotected}} Would you please replace this template with the version at the /Sandbox excluding <noinclude>{{Template sandbox notice}}</noinclude> . Thank you! §hep¡Talk to me! 04:33, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template:OhioSBN

edit

Template:OhioSBN takes up quite a bit of room on article talk pages and seems of limited interest to those outside WikiProject Ohio. So I suggest adding it as a NOTE to this template instead. Thoughts? Martin 17:33, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The same method is used by many other Portals, it has nothing to do with the WikiProject which operates as a separate entity. It could probably be a bit shorter heightwise, but otherwise it's not an uncommon practice. If the banner is a specific problem small=yes can be passed to make it smaller and float right. §hep¡Talk to me! 17:30, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Decided to pop in a few examples: Template:Bristol selected article, Template:Canada selected article, Template:Canada selected biography, Template:Cars Portal former selected articles, Template:China Portal Selected Article, Template:Delaware SA, Template:EduFA, and Template:OKselectedart along with many others. §hep¡Talk to me!

{{editprotected}} Could the contents of Template:OH-Project/Sandbox be copied into the main template. It replaces the use of the COLLAPSED section with a HOOK template instead. Thanks -- WOSlinker (talk) 22:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why were the <div>s added? Just curious what they do different then plain text. §hep¡Talk to me! 05:29, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
There are also some minor mods to wording and images. §hep¡Talk to me! 05:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sometimes big blocks of text don't always work correctly as a parameter to a template, so I just tend to wrap them in a div tag to avoid an hassles. -- WOSlinker (talk) 19:14, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh okay. Thanks for the help. §hep¡Talk to me! 17:00, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Could an administrator please remove the italics from the boldface WikiProject Ohio wikilink? I see no reason why italics are necessary there. Thanks. Levdr1lp (talk) 23:49, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Deprecate template

edit

This project is going to be supported by WikiProject United States so this template is going to be deprecated and the project added to the WikiProject United States banner. Since this template is protected I implemented the code to the sand box version here. Please implement. --Kumioko (talk) 16:47, 13 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have a noinclude which is not closed. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:06, 14 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ok I think its fixed now. You could have fixed that though. I wouldn't have minded. --Kumioko (talk) 02:55, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Okay   Done — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:02, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Given the deletion discussion at TfD for the WPUSA template, I demerged this one from that one. At some point, any changes on the talk pages can be done. Imzadi 1979  23:35, 13 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
