Removing California as Task Force of University of California
editIs there any need for having the California Task Force tag? It looks like it got introduced on the meta banner conversion, but I'm not sure it's needed. At the moment only 286/1159 UC articles are intersecting with the CAL general category. -Optigan13 (talk) 08:53, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Please remove the logic for the California Task force. This project is a sub-project of WP Universities and WP California. Creating a Cal task force creates circular logic with two project's taggings. -Optigan13 (talk) 23:24, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Is there an error in the Assessment_CAT parameter
editThe current line is
|ASSESSMENT_CAT = California articles
Shouldn't it be Category:WikiProject University of California articles and not Category:WikiProject California Articles
I'm looking at Talk:2003 Insight Bowl and it appears to be categorizing into Category:FA-Class California articles without a {{WikiProject California}} banner. -Optigan13 (talk) 08:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Please change
|ASSESSMENT_CAT = California articles
to
|ASSESSMENT_CAT = University of California articles
I've checked in one of my personal sandboxes and it appears to fix the categorization error I noted above diff. -Optigan13 (talk) 06:50, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed the categorisation into the California scheme, by removing the entire hook from the template. Let me know if this isn't what you wanted. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:45, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I think for now it's easier to split out to the two separate banners. The issue was that the banner was placing pages into the Unknown importance category for WP:CAL, or was I missing an importance parameter in the hook? -Optigan13 (talk) 09:03, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello! Can someone please replace the current template source with the version here: Template:WikiProject University of California/sandbox (includes taskforces)? This is tested and should be fine, but if you spot any errors please let me know. Thanks, -- phoebe / (talk to me) 22:02, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Done, but without the extra white space at top and bottom. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:15, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
- @John of Reading: Thanks, and thanks for the fix :) -- phoebe / (talk to me) 22:31, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
