  • Linking to destination article will create a backlink. Some readers may get sucked into the workpage through "What links here" while others, one supposes, might find their way back to articlespace. I say the cost outweighs the very slim benefit. The engine already creates automatically a link to the root of the subpage hierarchy; editors don't need the convenience.

Col. Robert A. Shawn (ret.)

Bob Shawn is one of our precious remaining veterans of World War II. His is a wonderfully interesting history, including 323 completed missions in a P-51 Mustang fighter plane.

Bob currently lives a very active life, enjoying exceptionally good health. His doctors say his heart beats like that of a 23-year-old. On a recent cold night in March (2014) he was doing his regular volunteer duty with the Herndon police (VA) out on the streets catching DUAs. All this from a man 93 years old, coming 94 on March 6, 2014.
