Jermaine "Jae" Richards and Trevaunn "Trey" Richards are Canadian comedians, actors, and producers from Brampton, Ontario, best known as the co-creators and stars of the Crave comedy series The Office Movers. The brothers began their careers as YouTube content creators before moving into television and founding the production company Random Order Studios.
Early life and YouTube career
[edit]Jae and Trey Richards grew up in Brampton, Ontario, and both worked for years as part-time employees of their father's commercial office-moving company.[1] According to the brothers, this experience—working alongside a rotating and often eccentric cast of coworkers—later became the inspiration for their television series.[2][1]
The brothers began making comedy videos in high school, launching a YouTube channel originally called 4YallEntertainment, later shortened to 4YE, a name Trey has said came from a suggestion by a classmate.[3] Their channel (also referred to as Jae & Trey Vlogs) built an audience through sketches, vlogs, and recurring characters, including the popular character Tyco, and the brothers' output eventually amassed hundreds of millions of cumulative views.[4][2]
Their sketch work drew the attention of Toronto rapper Drake. In 2017, producer Boi-1da approached the brothers for permission to sample their sketch T-Dot Goon Scrap on Drake's track "Madiba Riddim" (sometimes styled "Mabida Riddim") from the album More Life.[5][4] The brothers subsequently invited Drake to appear in a sequel sketch, and he agreed, traveling to Toronto to film it.[5] Drake has continued to collaborate with the brothers over the years, including appearing in a promotional sketch for his 2025 album with PartyNextDoor.[6]
The brothers also created the apparel brand 4YE, which has received coverage from outlets such as GQ and Complex.[4]
The Office Movers

[edit]The Office Movers is a half-hour comedy series created by and starring Jae and Trey Richards, produced by Toronto-based Counterfeit Pictures in partnership with Bell Media's streaming service Crave.[7][8] The series follows brothers Everett Saunders (Jae) and Eric Saunders (Trey), who reluctantly take over their father's chaotic commercial office-moving company, Shazam Moving, in the Toronto area. Everett's central goal throughout the series is to grow the business enough to sell it to a larger moving conglomerate, Zenithon Logistics, and leave the moving industry behind.[2][7]
The show draws directly on the brothers' real working lives, including specific anecdotes such as Trey accidentally shattering a glass door on his first day on the job and a dispute with a pizza delivery driver over a "free if late" promotion.[7] The series' supporting cast includes their Cuban stepbrother character Riccardo (played by Lucas Lopez) and other characters drawn from the diverse crews the brothers worked with growing up.[6][9]
The Office Movers was announced in September 2024 and premiered on Crave on October 11, 2024, with new episodes released weekly.[8] The series was noted for prominently featuring Toronto's multicultural slang, often rendered with stylized subtitles for comedic effect—a technique the brothers had previously used in their YouTube sketches.[2][6][9]
Season 1 and renewal
[edit]Season 1 consisted of six episodes and became one of Crave's top-20 streamed titles during its release period.[10] In interviews following the first season, the brothers discussed uncertainty about renewal given the broader difficulties Canadian streaming series faced with cancellations, while expressing hope that the show's ending had set up further storylines.[9]
In December 2024, Crave confirmed a second-season order for The Office Movers, with production set to begin in 2025.[10][1][11] Justin Stockman, Bell Media's Vice President of Content Development and Programming, credited the show's connection with audiences and the storytelling of Jae and Trey Richards for the renewal.[10]
Season 2
[edit]Season 2 of The Office Movers premiered on Crave on November 7, 2025.[12][13] The season continues to follow the Shazam moving company as it competes against Zenithon Logistics, with storylines including Eric being tempted to join the rival company and Everett pursuing increasingly desperate schemes, including staged insurance claims, to keep the business afloat.[6] The brothers described the season as building on the character dynamics established in Season 1, with more attention paid to the interactions between different pairings of cast members.[12]
The season notably includes a cameo appearance by Drake, portraying a customer in a tense exchange with Jae's character.[6] Jae and Trey said the cameo had been kept secret for roughly a year, disclosed to only a small circle of people.[13] The Office Movers received an early renewal for a third season around the time of the Season 2 premiere.[6]
Random Order Studios and Bell Media deal
[edit]Jae and Trey Richards rebranded their production banner—originally associated with their YouTube channel—as Random Order Studios, founded together with executive producer Julian Lloyd.[4] Through Random Order Studios, the brothers have also produced the Crave series Judge Tyco, a courtroom-format comedy built around their character Tyco.[14][4] The company additionally produces the podcast Random Order, distributed by Headgum, in which the brothers offer commentary on pop culture.[14][4]
In April 2026, Bell Media announced a co-development and first-look deal with Random Order Studios, aimed at developing "globally-minded, culture-driven storytelling" for Canadian and international audiences.[4][14] Under the agreement, Bell Media's distribution arm, Sphere Abacus, holds first-look international rights to projects from the studio.[14][4] At the same time, Sphere Abacus announced the sale of The Office Movers Seasons 1 through 3 to the British broadcaster Sky.[14][4]
Bell Media executive Justin Stockman said the deal reflected the company's commitment to expanding its content portfolio with "authentic, globally resonant storytelling."[4] Jermaine Richards said the partnership allowed the brothers to build on their community-based origins while pursuing larger-scale projects, and Trevaunn Richards said the move would let them apply their audience instincts to bigger formats on a global stage.[4] Julian Lloyd described the deal as proof that creator-led studios could scale into long-form production while retaining what made their earlier work resonate.[4]

Reception and cultural impact
[edit]The Office Movers has been noted by press for centering Toronto's multicultural communities, including Caribbean, African, and Latinx family life, and for filming at recognizable Toronto and Greater Toronto Area locations.[13] Jae and Trey Richards, who have Jamaican and Colombian family roots, have said the show reflects a side of Toronto's working-class and immigrant communities rarely depicted on Canadian television.[9]
The series' popularity has also affected the brothers' father's real moving business, with the brothers reporting that fans of the show have sought out his company for moving jobs.[13][6]
