UFC Fight Night: Hernandez vs. Rodrigues (also known as UFC Fight Night 285) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on August 22, 2026, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, United States.[2]

Background

[edit]

The event marked the promotion's seventh visit to Sacramento and first since UFC Fight Night: de Randamie vs. Ladd in July 2019.[2] There were initial reports that the event would take place at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but for undisclosed reasons, it was later shifted to Sacramento.[3]

A middleweight bout between former LFA Middleweight Champions Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues headlined the event.[4]

A featherweight bout between Danny Silva and Márcio Barbosa was scheduled for the event.[5] However, Silva withdrew due to being hospitalized by sudden pulmonary embolism.[6] As a result, Barbosa competed at this event against promotional newcomer Ryan Kuse instead.[7]

A lightweight bout between Kody Steele and Gauge Young was scheduled for this event.[8] However, Steele withdrew from the fight for unknown reasons and was replaced by promotional newcomer Stanley Dorsainvil.[7]
