Lindsay Portnoy is an American cognitive scientist and an SBIR/STTR program director at the National Science Foundation.[1] She is an associate professor at the Northeastern University in the College of Professional Studies.[2] Formerly, Portnoy taught at Hunter College.[3]

Education

In 2013, Portnoy graduated from Fordham University with a PhD in educational psychology.[2]

Career

In 2015, Portnoy was one of more than 500 researchers to sign an open letter calling for reforms to the No Child Left Behind Act, specifically amending the law's requirements for standardized testing.[3] Portnoy was hired at the National Science Foundation in 2023.[1]
