Patty Crash, (born Audur Katrin, May 18, 1986), Keflavik, Iceland. Crash moved to America in the early 90's after her dad, who was a singer songwriter, took his own life. She spent winters in America and summers in Iceland. She started writing rhymes and hooks while having others sing, because she had doubts about her innate vocal abilities. She eventually moved to America at the age of 17 to pursue a career in the music industry. After a failed attempt to attend a show featuring, The Roots, in Baltimore, Crash was later introduced to the group through a friend. Through said introduction, Patty was able to deliver a demo to the band. Black Thought flew Crash out to Philadelphia where she met Nikki Jean who had joined a group Nouveau Riche with Dice Raw after leaving St. Paul Minnesota. Crash later gained a feature on Tyga's album No Introduction in the song "Diamond Life".Then later appearing on Gym Class Heroes' album The Quilt on the song "Drnk Txt Rmeo". That same year The Roots and Gym Class Heroes did a tour together allowing Crash to open up for them in New York and Philadelphia and the show Sold out.
