Another Brick in the Wall: The Opera is an opera composed by Julien Bilodeau and libretto by Roger Waters, based on the hit concept album The Wall by Pink Floyd. It premiered at Opéra de Montréal in 2017, and is scheduled to Cincinnati Opera in 2018.
Synopsis
editFollowing his father's death during World War II, and continuous abuse from his mother and teachers, Pink isolates himself from the rest of the world. The breakup of his marriage represents the last brick in the metaphorical wall he has been building for himself. As he fights to survive, Pink attempts to demolish his own inner wall.
