i don't edit Wikipedia regularly, but if I find room for improvement, I try to leave it better than I found it. Here are a few facts about me:
- Principal Product Marketing Manager
- Co-created two large news sites (mercurynews.com and news.com), and one small news site for coastal San Mateo County. Coastsider.com was one of the first hyperlocal news sites on the web. I've been blogging off and on since 2003 at mediasavvy.com.
- Covered online media as a VP or Director of Research for IDC, Forrester, and Outsell, and managed Fortune 500 media relations clients for Dow Jones.
- Live on the coastal side of the San Francisco peninsula, which is a world apart from SF and Silicon Valley, but just a short ride over the hill.
- Grew up in a military family, but East Hampton, NY is the closest thing I have to a home town.
- Love twenties design, thirties comedies, forties aircraft, fifties jazz, sixties values, seventies punk, eighties women (my wife), nineties Internet values, aughts web tools, and teens television.
- Believe in "Internet" as a proper noun, the Oxford comma, and "putting periods outside of quotes unless they're part of the quotation".
