Ronnie McNutt was a US Army veteran who live-streamed his suicide on August 31, 2020. The footage spread around social media platforms causing a shitstorm that brewed for a week, before it erupted into a supercell, with calls for social media platforms to remove the video, and dire warnings not to watch or share the footage, citing PTSD concerns and the graphic footage's impact on children, particularly as trolls have been editing the footage so as to start it off with innocent footage such as that of kittens, before surprising the unsuspecting victim with the graphic footage.
