Saint Blasphemer is band based out of Santa Ana, California. Saint Blasphemer is currently working on completing a 5 song EP, which will be released in October, 2016. The members of the band are Thomas Monroe on vocals, John Castellon on guitar, Steve Shell on bass guitar, and Steve Ybarra on Drums.
Inspiration
editSaint Blasphemer is heavily influenced by Tool, Peter Gabriel. Nirvana, and Jane's Addiction. Saint Blasphemer has a following in the Santa Ana area, based on their ability at performing live[1][2]. Thomas Monroe, who also serves to write the bands lyrics, serves as head of the Orange County Poetry club.[3]
Themes
editAddiction is a major theme of Saint Blasphemer's music. The songs are written about the frustration of seeing family and friends struggle with addiction.
Alienation and loss are two other themes found throughout Saint Blasphemer's writing.
Philosophy
