Elevation is the opposite of disgust. The term that was coined as a result of research into positive psychology. Scholars researching disgust eventually were able to label the opposite term, elevation. Elevation is a moral emotion and is pleasant. It is characterized by a feeling of expansion in the chest, a tingling feeling on the skin, and a desire to act morally and do "good". Thomas Jefferson originally described elevation as the response to moral beauty over 200 years ago, and only recentl.......................
