edit- 9781785513060: Director's Choice: Chau Chak Wing Museum: The University of Sydney (2020)
- Note: Neat hardcover (there is also a paperback version with the ISBN of 9781785511134) overview of some of the objects in the various galleries and collections of the Chau Chak Wing Museum of the University of Sydney. Published by Scala Arts & Heritage Publishers (London), and is part of their "Director's Choice" series which features various museums and other similar institutions around the world. It includes analysis of some objects from its ancient history (Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient Near East), natural history, and art from around the world, along with Indigenous Australian and Pacific collections, along with contextual information. In addition, these are not technically part of the book, however these online exhibition catalogues published in the University's Sydney eScholarship Repository/Library are a good read as well (click through on the relevant link to download the relevant PDF file): Pharaonic Obsessions: Ancient Egypt, an Australian Story, Roman Spectres, Crossroads: Ancient Cyprus, Mediterranean Identities: Across the wine-dark sea, Hercules: Myth and Legacy, Coastline, Animal Gods: Classics and Classification, Instrumental: Collections from Science. Calculating and Computing, and Pacific Views. Some of these are permanent exhibitions, whereas others were temporary exhibitions. As of December 2023, these are the catalogues I could find on the university's website, and it appears that not all of the museum's exhibitions have a corresponding catalogue. There may have been more exhibition catalogues published for exhibitions held by the university's former museums prior to the Chau Chak Wing Museum opening/consolidation in 2020.
