I've been a wiki user since the very beginning... I used to go by the name of gh05t, but I was pretty young when I registered that /nick and l33t stuff was cool then. Anyway, I fell in love with this project from the instant I laid eyes on it, and I truly believe that this endeavor is one of humankind's greatest. I really admire the folks who keep this place running, and if you're a contributor I'd like to thank you as well. I think we're doing important work here. I enjoy contributing, although I don't do so nearly as often as I wish I did - I hesitate because I know that what I'm changing is someone else's hard work - probably many peoples' - and what I'm adding must be as perfect as possible, because someone like myself is likely to find the page while doing research. You see, one of my favorite pastimes is to simply read wikipedia. I hit the main page or do a search trying to gain a better understanding of something I've found in other media and go from there, sometimes with so many tabs open that I lose track of what it was I was doing in the first place. I have a habit of reading about everything I stumble across. I feel as though wiki has taught me a lot, and I'd like to give back. I will start editing more...
I started the Gerald Hege article though! That was lots of fun.
