User:UberScienceNerd/Wikipedian Philosophy/Games on Wikipedia
With the recent MfDs concerning "fun" activities on Wikipedia, I felt a need to create this page to formulate my opinion. I hope this is clear and sensible.
What to do:
- Delete games that have nothing to do with editing, and can easily be played on other websites, e.g. Wikipedia:Hangman and the once-existing Wikipedia:Esperanze/Coffee lounge/Games.
- Move to another wiki or userfy game-related pages that aren't related to article improvement, but are creative and can't be played off of wikis, e.g. the former User:DoomsDay349/WikiPlomacy.
- Keep those that are of an educational nature (e.g. Portal:India/Quiz), help editors hone their skills or find interesting pages to work on (e.g. Wikipedia:Department of Fun/Word Association), or encourage article improvement (e.g. Wikipedia:WikiRPG).
