Mattersburg Cultural Centre
The Mattersburg cultural center is a building in the style of brutalism, which was built in the years 1973 to 1976. The building is partially under monument protection.
Description
editThe cultural center Mattersburg is part of an urban ensemble, which includes a secondary school and sports hall. The buildings were originally accessed via a staircase that embeds the hillside property in an artistically designed concrete landscape. In the original concept, the cultural center included a function hall for 550 people, seminar and club rooms, a foyer with a buffet, an institute for political education, a youth center and a sauna and fitness area.
