Biomass INto GasOil or BINGO is a hydroforming process developed by Dynamotive Energy Systems to convert BioOil or Pyrolysis oil into a mobile green fuel, UBB[1].
Process
editBINGO involves two stages to create the final fuel: Hydroforming, and Hydrotreatment.
The first stage removes most of the water and oxygen (90%) content of the fuel by stabilizing the fuel, make it miscible with other hydrocarbons, and remove water content. The process results in a fuel with lower viscosity, corrosive properties, and lower oxygen content. At this point, the fuel is designated as UBA, and requires the following process to transform it into a pure hydrocarbon.
The second stage uses a commercial catalyst to hydrotreat the UBA. By removing the remaining oxygen content, and using this catalyst, the UBA can be designated as a UBB which can be cut into diesel, gasoline and jet fuels.
