(Redirected from User:JayCoop/sandbox/List of 3–0 series deficits in the NBA)Since 1947, there have been 140 best-of-seven series in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in which a team was trailing in a 3–0 series deficit. To date, no team has won a series after being in such a deficit. After the 2004 American League Championship Series in Major League Baseball, the NBA became the only major North American sports league in which no team has overcome a 3–0 series deficit among leagues that utilize the best-of-seven series. However, three teams have managed to extend a series to game seven: the New York Knicks in 1951, Denver Nuggets in 1994, and Portland Trail Blazers in 2003.
