Introduction
editRevivify Lizards are long tongued, toothed lizards belonging to the Hoplocardia, where it's one of its smaller but faster members. Revivify Lizards are found in the amazons of Southern and Northern Asia and the Karkloof forest of South Africa. Revivify Lizards have a strict diet of mosquitoes, worms, pollen and smaller birds or animals found near the floor of the amazon or forests. They are tertiary consumers meaning only large birds try to eat them.
History and Evolution
editThe Revivify Lizard is a mutated form of the commonly known 'Horned Toe Lizard', but smaller and faster. Around close to a century ago, a scientist was studying the horned toe breed in which was infected with the commonly known 'Zika Virus', to realize its offspring had the same appearance, but many different characteristics and body differences when looked at up close. Not only was it smaller, but it had lemon eucalyptus infused scales in which acts like bug repellent to prevent the animal from being bitten or stung by insects. Not only does the reptile have a built in insect repellent, but also an exceeding amount of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes or NK (Natural Killer) cells. These cells are what kills off any bad or harmful cells without killing any good cells. This prevents the lizard from getting infected or contaminated from insects in which may carry a disease like the Zika virus.
The Revivify Lizard started near the bottom of the food chain, being food for almost every other animal in the amazon. The original reddish orange animal has emerged over time to a dark green and black spotted lizard, allowing it to camouflage easier and more efficiently to hide from unexpected prey. Throughout time, the animal gained larger pupils to allow it to see better due to the lack of light received on the amazon floor, as well as to help the lizard gain as much light as possible in the night. Revivify lizards currently dwell in the Amazon as their small size and legs give the lizard the ability to outrun prey. The lizards have two row of mildly sharp teething which allow it to consume the feathers and bones of small birds found near the amazon floor. With their two row of sharp teeth, small size, agility, hunting/camouflaging tactics and impeccable eyesight in both light and dark, Revivify lizards are quite interesting reptiles and very solitary animals needing near to no interaction with their species to survive.
Habitat and Population
editThe habitat of the Revivify lizard is quite hot with near to no water, thought they can survive in both aquatic and dry habitats. Even though it rains in Asia's amazons, these lizards can survive almost 5 months without water. Typically, these lizards live under tree roots where there's space or in tall plants in mud dens. The Revivify lizard is extremely endangered considering it's a tertiary consumer, eating mainly birds and insects such as mosquitoes. Revivify lizards are normally born in groups of 4-5 and are born at a size of 3-7cm long. These lizards are tertiary consumers meaning they mainly eat birds and insets and the only animal that tries to eat it are large birds like eagles.
Biology
editRevivify lizards have the appearance of a horned toe lizard, but smaller, slimmer and faster, almost gecko like. Their eyes are quite large taking up almost 2/4 of its face allowing the lizard to receive more sunlight during the day and night. The Revivify lizard is not only known for its speed and incredible hunting tactics, but also its ability to recover from eating insects in which have diseases like the Zika virus, Malaria, Dengue fever, Yellow fever and West Nile virus. The Revivify lizard is born at a size of 3-7cm long and don't open their eyes until 4 days after birth. They live for 15-30 years, 35 at the most. They're born in groups of 4-5 and typically are born as an orangish red colour eventually emerging to a dark green and black colour. This lizard has a strict diet of insects and smaller birds found near the floor of the amazon.
Impact on the Earth
editThe Revivify lizard has a major environmental impact on our planet. The population of mosquitoes has largely decreased since these lizards have taken charge of northern and Eastern Asia's amazons, as well as South Africa. The population of mosquitoes in which carry serious diseases such as the Zika virus are extremely dangerous, and if pregnant could cause the baby to have the disease, even while in the womb causing the baby to come out infected with the virus. This goes for animals too. In addition to this, the lizards Lemon-Eucalyptus rich scales act as a built in bug repellent making sure it doesn't get bitten by dangerous bugs in which carry this disease or any other harmful disease. The lizard also has an exceeding amount of Cytotoxic T lymphocytes, or NK (natural killer) cells, protecting its immune system if the mosquito eaten does have a harmful virus and allows it to stay protected and function properly.
