Don Thelen
Donald Thelen aka “Buffalo or Buffy” was born July 3,1945 in Detroit MI, and died January 4,1997, in Colorado Springs CO.
Don grew up in Detroit, and then North Long Beach CA. He attended St. Anthony’s an all boy’s high school and started building his first car, a 1940 Ford at age 15 in a garage he rented from a neighbor.
Two of the most popular cars designed and built by Don were:
"Eliminator" a 1933 Ford Coupe featured in ZZ Top videos and albums "Mere Image” a 1933 Ford Roadster
Don built all of his most notable cars at Buffalo Motor Cars, his facility in Paramount, CA
