Since the FAC for Claire Redfield has lasted for an entire month without a text-source integrity and close paraphrasing spot-check, I will take up conducting one. I will be checking about half of the sources in this article, about 37, using a random number generator. Unless I have reason otherwise, I will assume good faith on any source I cannot access. - I am half-way finished with the spot-checks. For reference, I am checking the sources as of this revision. Lazman321 (talk) 07:49, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
- [68] - The quote is "modern video game action heroes", not "contemporary video game action hero". I feel this review is unnecessary for this article as the reviewer is essentially just talking about the controls of both Claire and Leon i.e. the player character, not Claire herself. If it is to be kept, I do recommend specifying that the reviewer is only referring to the controls, not Claire's personality as is implied by "feels like a human being".
- [19] - This, along with [18], seem like original research, as neither source explicitly says that later games not produced by Mikami depict Claire in such a way.

- [26] - Does not mention Claire's hair.
- [5] - AGF for the most part, though I question the statement that "James Baker" is a pseudonym and would recommend a secondary source to support that. Yes, James is a masculine name, but that doesn't mean it is for sure a pseudonym.
- [16] - First use: Pass. Second use: Although the source does not mention that Elza is blonde, I'll let it slide as any reasonable person would conclude that she is blonde just by looking at her model in the source. Although I will mention that there is some close-paraphrasing here.

- [10] - First use: Pass. Second use: Original film series? What original film series? There's only one live action film series and Claire is played by Ali Larter in it. The source is centered around a commercial for Resident Evil 2, which Adrienne Frantz did play Claire in.
- [4] - First use: Pass, though please swap it with [3] for text-source integrity. Second use: Pass, ditto.

- [23] - Judging by the sources, I don't think "hardened" is the right word to use, as Okabe says, "Even though Claire has been through a lot, this is a situation she hasnβt been in before. Sheβs not really prepared for it. I think youβll see a little more vulnerability, youβll see less of a kind of blasΓ© attitude." Perhaps replace the word with "practical", as both sources would support this characterization.
- [17] - First use: Pass. Second use: Pass.
- [43] - Pass.
- [37] - The source literally says, "before the villainous Red Queen attempts to destroy the final remnants of humanity", and neither of the sources say Claire teams up with the Red Queen. Maybe they're misrepresenting the movie, which I've never seen, but it is worth accounting for.
- [12] - First use: Pass. Second use: Pass. Third use: While true, the source doesn't support the statement as Resident Evil: Extinction was the only film in the series Claire was in at the time.

- [72] - First of all, Sarkeesian's problems are not simply "revealing outfit = bad"; she is criticizing a trend in the Resident Evil series of "rewarding" the male players with unlockable outfits that reduce the oft-capable women into sexual objects. Second, although she mentions the motorsport outfit, Sarkeesian actually emphasizes the rodeo outfit for Claire in Revelations 2, not the motorsport outfit. Finally, the motorsport outfit is not even in Revelations 2; it's from Code: Veronica.
