Are autobiographies allowed on userspaces? Or are they discouraged on their own? (In details: Say I did User:Xyaena/name, and made an autobiography there). Xyaena 03:38, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Autobiography:
Writing an autobiography on Wikipedia is an example of conflict of interest editing and is strongly discouraged. Editing a biography about yourself is acceptable only if you are removing unambiguous vandalism or clear-cut and serious violations of our biography of living persons policy.

Portals
editI noticed your post at the RfC. I think you read the results backwards. — The Transhumanist 04:11, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Thank you very much
editThe RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.
By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.
I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.
Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the WikiProject's talk page, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.
If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.
Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely, — The Transhumanist 00:15, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
P.S.: if you reply to this message, please {{ping}} me. Thank you. -TT

A bit of explanation might be helpful to this guy

So I noticed apparently (fair enough) when I was connected to a blocked IP, presumably for a "web host", I went onto my user page, and upon the Edit button, it says that I'm "blocked", but my block log is clean. Is this only visible to me? Xyaena 18:05, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- You have a clean block log. IP addresses are often dynamic, so you get an IP that might have already been blocked due to another user. Once you log in we cannot see your IP. Ronhjones (Talk) 18:11, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Russian Age Rating System moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Russian Age Rating System, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
