Emotion Perception is an inference about another person's mental state. Emotion perception is assumed to be based on a variety of nonverbal and verbal cues, including facial behaviors (sometimes called expressions), bodily postures, the acoustics of the voice, such as prosody, as well as the semantic content of another person's speech.
