Trigger Rally is a free software 3D racing simulation game that features more than 200 races in an an open world that allows offroad driving. Over 100 maps can be raced individually against pre-set time limits. In addition 15 events include several races which must be won in a pre-set order to unlock further events and cars.
History
editThe project was started in 2004 by Jasmine Jareiko Langridge, a Swiss programmer. She left the project in 2006 in order to pursue a browser-port of the game under the same name but stopped development in 2016.
Contribution
editThe GPL2 licensed C++ game code is hosted on SourceForge. An online map reference together with a tutorial enables people to create their own maps that can be easily included into the installed game without the need for programming skills.
