Sue Tuke, known as Charity Shop Sue, is a fictional British charity shop manager and internet personality character portrayed by Selina Mosinski.[1] Tuke is the manager of the Sec*Hand Chances charity shop in Bulwell, Nottingham. She played the title character in the 2019 internet mini-series Charity Shop Sue.[2] She is an advocate for sustainable fashion.[3]
Tuke is particularly popular with the LGBT community.[4] She has appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race UK as a guest.[5]
Charity Shop Sue (mini-series)
editCharity Shop Sue is a 2019 internet miniseries made of 18 ten-minute episodes on YouTube.[6] As of June 2020, the series has 2 million views on the official YouTube channel.[6]
The series is set in the fictional Sec*hand Chances charity shop in Bulwell, Nottingham in 2014. The mockumentary follows a group of charity shop staff and volunteers as they attempt to increase the shop's profile by allowing local filmmakers to record the day-to-day running of the shop.[7] After a series of negative events, Tuke refuses to participate any further in the filming and the recordings any not released until 2019.
