About
editYou may be interested in my About.me page, or you can go directly to my Google+ Profile which is the Social networking service I'm most active on.
Biography
editI'm originally from Southern California in the United States of America, though I lived in Western Washington state from 1989-2013. I have moved back home to SoCal at the end of May 2013. I'm an avid motorcyclist and prefer to use motorcycles as my primary mode of transportation.
I also enjoy unexpectedly fast cars (sleepers) and own a 1998 Dodge Neon Sport Coupe & 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT, both of which have been modified to enhance their performance.
My career is in the IT industry. I've held various software engineering, quality assurance, and software/hardware support positions as indicated on my resume.
Interests
editMy UserBoxes to the right list many of my activities & interests.
Sportbikes, especially Erik Buell Racing & Buell, Aprilia (loved test riding the Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS), and Yamaha (I'd like a 2009+ Yamaha YZF-R1 with Crossplane Crank - I love that sound); Sport-Touring motorcycles, especially the Yamaha FJR1300 (I own a 2005 Yamaha FRJ1300ATC) and Motus Motus MST; I enjoy Long-distance motorcycle riding and I'd like to try Adventure Touring, especially on the KTM 1190 Adventure R; I'm fascinated by Electric Motorcycles, particularly MotoCzysz & Mission Motors; I occasionally watch Motorcycle Racing, especially MotoGP & World Superbike; I'm concerned about Motorcycle Safety and interested in Motorcycle Subcultures.
I purchased my first bike, a 2007 Buell Firebolt XB12R on July 10th, 2007. I later purchased a 2008 Buell 1125R 25th Anniversary Signature Edition which I bought new and have ridden on for over 63,000 miles as of April, 2011. Unfortunately it's been having some issues after a botched maintenance service and I've parked it for a while :'-(... I got my wife a 2007 Harley-Davidson VRSCAW V-Rod, but it was too big for her and had quality issues, so we traded it in for a 2010 Yamaha FZ6-R in April, 2011.
Wikipedia Name Change
editI used to be known here as "PDA_Monkey". When I created this account, I was very much interested in Personal Digital Assistants, specifically PalmOS devices made by Handspring (company). I owned 3 Handspring Visors including the original 2mb Visor Solo and the first ever 16-bit color PDA, the Visor Prism. I even had the VisorPhone! I have since moved on to the Android platform having owned the first Android phone, the HTC Dream aka T-Mobile G1. I subsequently had a Samsung Galaxy S aka T-Mobile Vibrant, Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One (M8), and currently use a Nexus 6. I'm a fan of third-party ROMs and have been using Dirty Unicorns for a while as well as AOKP and CyanogenMod previously. Fortunately, accounts can be renamed!
