Overview
editThis template is used to advise an editor (who has previously added a mal-formed RfA at WP:RFA) on useful reading.
This template needs to be SUBSTituted. If SUBST is not used, an error is generated.
This template automatically provides a section header and adds your signature.
Syntax
edit{{Subst:User:Phantomsteve/admin-request[|standards=<location>][|example=true]}}
- standards=<location>
- provide alternative location for RfA standards (default is User:Phantomsteve/RfA standards)
- example=true
- if present, refers to the RfA standards as "some standards for adminship..." rather than "my standards for adminship..."

Your request to be an admin
editIf you want to be an admin, then may I suggest that you read some of the following:
- Administrators' reading list
- Guide to requests for adminship
- Successful requests for adminship
- Unsuccessful adminship candidacies
There are no fixed criteria for adminship - you need to be able to show that you will make a good admin through your history. As a rough guide, my standards for adminship are here - I don't think that I am too far away from what the average editor is looking for!
Finally, you might want to read the essay Wikipedia:What adminship is not - being an admin does not make you a more important or senior editor... it really is a maintenance thing! If Wikipedia was a University, admins would not be students or professors, they would be the janitors. They are essential to the smooth running of Wikipedia, but not important in and of themselves - and in fact, it can be stressful to be an admin!
Anyway, I just thought I'd contact you, as I saw that your attempt to put your name forward was not correctly formed.
