I am a member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity and have worked on maintaining the organizations website. I also work on expanding the wiki pages of Phi Chi and other groups and pages affiliated with Phi Chi.
Although I am a member of the group, accordinging to Wikipedia's guidelines, editing those pages are allowed. In accordance to the Conflict of Interest guidelines, it is SUGGESTED that I disclose any potential COIs. I am also allowed to edit the pages as long as references are used which are verifiable. It is best to have a 3rd party reference but you can also use publications from the organisation when the edit concerns the group that is publishing it (please see the wiki section on publications from within a group). Also, these edits can be done as long as they are done in a neutral POV. Just because I am affiliated with a group, does not mean I can't be neutral. All editors are bias but you can still maintain an articles as long as a neutral editor would agree with the changes and the references are verifiable. Finally, by looking at many of my edits, my account could be considered a SPA yet I am still allowed to edit.
If you have any concerns over my actions, please, in accordance with Wikipedias own guidelines for COI, Good faith, neutral edits and SPA, DISCUSS this with me AFTER reading the guidelines.
