The 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League will be the 54th season of North Americas's premier club football tournament organised by CONCACAF, and the 11th season since it was renamed from the CONCACAF Champions' Cup to the CONCACAF Champions League.
The winners of the 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League will qualify as the CONCACAF representative at the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup, and also earn the right to play against the winners of the 2018–19 CONCACAF SuperLiga in the 2019 CONCACAF Super Cup.
Association team allocation
editAssociation ranking
editFor the 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League, the associations are allocated places according to their 2017 CONCACAF country coefficients, which takes into account their performance in North American competitions from 2012–13 to 2016–17.

- ^ Guatemala (GUA): On October 28, 2016, FIFA suspended the National Football Federation of Guatemala for political interference by the Government of Guatemala. Until the suspension is lifted, Guatemalan teams are not permitted to participate in international competitions. CONCACAF set the deadline of May 1, 2017 for the suspension to be lifted, and expelled all Guatemalan teams from the tournament on May 4, 2017 after the federation failed to be reinstated by FIFA.
- ^ Belize (BLZ): Belize was awarded an additional spot from Guatemala's vacated spot.
- ^ Haiti (HAI): Haiti was awarded an additional spot from Guatemala's vacated spot.
- ^ El Salvador (SLV): El Salvador was awarded an additional spot from Guatemala's vacated spot.

The access list above is provisional, as changes will be made depending on whether the Champions League and Europa League title holders qualify for the tournament via their domestic leagues. The Champions League title holders always enter directly into the group stage. The Europa League title holders also enter directly into the group stage if either they or the Champions League title holders qualify for the group stage via their domestic leagues (if both teams qualify for the group stage via their domestic leagues, the champions of association 13 enter directly into the group stage). Otherwise, the Europa League title holders enter directly the play-off round, with the route they enter depending on the Champions League title holders:
- League Route: If the Champions League title holders have qualified for any round of the League Route, or have not qualified for the tournament via their domestic league and are from the associations 1–12 in the access list.
- Champions Route: If the Champions League title holders have qualified for any round of the Champions Route, or have not qualified for the tournament via their domestic league and are from the associations 13–54 in the access list.
The final access list will then be adjusted accordingly, with teams entering either earlier or later into the competition in order to ensure that the group stage consists of 32 teams and the play-off round consists of 20 teams. UEFA has published a detailed document outlining several possible qualification scenarios, which are also covered in the regulations.

- Notes
- ^ Haiti (HAI): Haiti earned a second berth in Champions League due to vacated spots from Guatemala
- ^ United States (USA):
- The Supporters Shield and MLS Cup was won by Toronto FC, a Canadian club. The 1st place league berth for Major League Soccer was awarded to Shield third place finishers, Chicago Fire, who were the American based MLS club with the best regular season record. This allowed 5th place finishers, Columbus Crew to transfer to the Champions League from SuperLiga. The League Cup berth was allocated to New York City FC, who had the best regular season record among American teams. The New York Red Bulls qualified for the Group Stages by virtue of winning the previous year's Champions League.

Knockout phase
edit- Main article: 2018–19 CONCACAF Champions League knockout phase
In the knockout phase, teams play against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis, except for the one-match final. The mechanism of the draws for each round is as follows:
- In the draw for the round of 16, the eight group winners are seeded, and the eight group runners-up are unseeded. The seeded teams are drawn against the unseeded teams, with the seeded teams hosting the second leg. Teams from the same group or the same association cannot be drawn against each other.
- In the draws for the quarter-finals onwards, there are no seedings, and teams from the same group or the same association can be drawn against each other.
