RayVi (Ramon C. Sunico, nickname RayVi) manages Cacho Publishing House. He is a poet who writes in both English and Filipino. He also writes stories for children. Besides this, he is a book designer who helped in the modernization of Philippine book design after the Marcos regime and the arrival in the Philippines of desktop publishing. He has also written prose pieces for various periodicals and publications. His works have been included in various trade and school anthologies in the Philippines and abroad. He has published five books: The Secret of Graphite: Poems in 2 Tongues (poetry), Bruise: A 2-Tongue Job (poetry), Two Friends, One World (children's picture book, bilingual), Ang Nawawalang Araw [The Lost Sun] (children's picture book, bilingual), and Ang Inuwi ni Nanay [What Nanay Brought Home] (children's picture book, bilingual).
Sunico has two MAs: one in Philosophy from Ateneo de Manila University and another in History of Ideas from the University of Sussex. While pursuing his first MA degree, he taught both Literature and Philosophy at the Ateneo de Manila, where he still teaches part-time (and online) for the school's Center for Journalism.
Sunico is married and has one son.He lives in Pasig (Metromanila), Philippines.
