Ruby Has Fulfillment
editRuby Has Fulfillment is a privately owned American company that handles backend e-commerce operations, such as order fulfillment, warehousing and shipping services, for direct-to-consumer (D2C or DTC) brands.[1] Competing in the third-party logistics (3PL) and fulfillment services industries, Ruby Has reported annual revenues of $39.38 million in 2019 with year-over-year growth of 66%.
Ruby Has LLC was founded by Rafael Zakinov in 2011. Headquarters are located on Long Island in Bay Shore, New York, with warehouse facilities in New York, New Jersey, California, Nevada, Kentucky and Ontario.
History
Ruby Has LLC was founded by Rafael Zakinov in 2011 in Queens, NY.
In 2013, the company expanded to a 17,000 sq. ft. warehouse on Long Island, in Bay Shore, NY.[2]
In 2015, the company saw 1458% growth in 2015 and generated $3.3 M in revenue. This put it on Inc. Magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest growing privately owned companies in the U.S., at number 272 overall.[3]
In 2018, according to Nightly Business Report produced by CNBC, Ruby Has Fulfillment had over 200 employees, 200 customers and added warehouses in New Jersey and Nevada.[4]
In 2019 it added warehouse facilities in Los Angeles and Toronto, and established a sales office in Milan, Italy.[5]
In 2020, Ruby Has acquired EasyPost Fulfillment Services. The purchase expanded the company's capacity by 25% and added a warehouse in Kentucky, broadening its footprint to the Midwest.[6] In July 2020, Ruby Has announced plans to move to a 374,000 square-foot, newly built facility in Las Vegas.[7]
Services
editServices provided by Ruby Has include picking, packing, labeling, shipping, logistics, secure inventory warehousing, and reverse logistics (returns) services. Where traditional fulfillment companies ship large containers and pallets of goods from one business to another (B2B), Ruby Has focuses primarily on small-package fulfillment, packing and shipping products one by one, directly to consumers on behalf of e-commerce brands and online retailers. It stores, packages and ships mainly consumer products, including home goods, apparel, electronics and health & beauty products.
With locations in New York, New Jersey, California, Nevada, Kentucky and Toronto, Ruby Has aims to provide access to a national network of fulfillment capabilities, technology and shipping efficiencies that can be burdensome or prohibitively expensive for small to mid-size companies to obtain on their own.[8] Two of its warehousing facilities (New Jersey and Nevada) offer temperature-controlled storage for sensitive products such as beauty products and pharmaceuticals. About 12% of its shipments are international.[9]
The company promotes its services primarily through strategic partnerships and a Thought Leadership Series of webinars, podcasts and events.
