Music City Drum and Bugle Corps is a competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Nashville, Tennessee.
History
editThe Music City Drum and Bugle Corps, founded in 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee, began competing as part of Drum Corps International (DCI) in 2009 within the Open Class. Early successes in Open Class paved the way for their transition to World Class competition in 2018, where they debuted with Hell on Wheels: The Final Journey of Casey Jones and earned a place in the World Class Semifinals.
In the years since, Music City has remained a regular competitor in DCI’s World Class division, presenting productions that combine musical and visual elements with thematic storytelling. While the corps faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the cancellation of the 2020 season, they have continued to participate in national tours and provide educational opportunities for members. Today, Music City is known as an active participant in the drum corps community, committed to advancing the art form and fostering talent.[1]
