Me and Wikipedia
editI can't exacly remember when I joined Wikipedia, but my first contribution officially attributed to me was on June 2, 2005.
A Little About Me
editI'm from southwest Ohio. I'm 42 years old. I work as a graphic artist, silkscreen maker, and warehouse worker for a container distribution and decorating company. I've traveled around and outside the state a bit, but I've yet to travel outside the USA. I've been to Indiana, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. I know just enough Spanish to kind of read a menu at a restaurant, and can understand a tiny bit of spoken Japanese.
My Interests
editThis is only a small smattering of my interests.
- Graphic Art
I've been into graphic art - both illustration and technical art - for a long time. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since about 2005 or so, and began learning Adobe Illustrator about a year ago (more so as I began using it in my current position at work). Some of my non-professional art can be seen on my Deviant Art page.
- Music
I listen to a lot of varying types of metal - some of my favorites are Iced Earth, Demons & Wizards, Dream Theater, Blind Guardian and Iron Maiden. However, my actual taste in music is very eclectic, as I have been known to listen to anything from Beethoven to The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel to Dimmu Borgir. I also have a bit of a soft spot for j-pop.
- Movies & TV
I typically end up watching sci-fi or horror. I've been a Star Trek fan since I was 5 years old. I love Star Wars and Farscape, and am a fan of Stargate - both the movie and its TV incarnations, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.
I'm also a huge anime fan. Some of my favorites are Blood: The Last Vampire, Blood+, Elfen Lied and Serial Experiments Lain, and pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki.
- Tabletop RPGs
I started playing Shadowrun and Dungeons & Dragons when I was in my late teens, and still play when my schedule and those of my friends align.
