The 2017-18 Cornwall Hockey Knockout Competitions will comprise five field hockey tournaments in the county of Cornwall; organised and run by the Cornwall Hockey Association. The competitions included are:
The competitions are open to all of Cornwall's 14 senior hockey clubs and will begin with Round 1 of the Women's Cup on Sunday 1st October 2017, conclude with the final of the Mixed Trophy in May 2018.
The Men's Cup (formally the Cornwall Hockey Association Knockout Cup) will be contested by 14 of the 15 eligible teams; with Truro 1st XI electing not to enter the competition. Camborne School of Mines HC are the defending champions, having won the competition for the first time in their history in 2016-17.
This edition of the Men's Cup will be the second year in which a single round-robin group stage was used in in place of single elimination Round 1 and Quarter Final stages. The 14 entered teams were drawn into four groups (two containing three teams, two containing four teams); with the highest-ranked four teams, based upon league position from the previous season, seeded into separate groups. All other teams were drawn randomly; with the draw also determining which clubs would play at home.
Each of the four group winners advance to the semi-finals of the competition.
The Men's Plate (formally the Cornwall Hockey Association Plate) will be contested by the four teams finishing as runners up in the group stage of the Men's Cup. Truro HC 2nd XI are the defending champions. The four entered teams will contest single-elimination semi-finals and a final to determine the champion.
The Women's Cup will be contested by all 18 eligible teams. The four lowest-ranked teams (based upon their 2016-17 league finishing positions) will contested Round 1, with the remaining 14 granted a bye to Round 2. The four top-ranked teams will be seeded into separate sections of the draw. Caradon HC are the defending champions.
