Star Wars: Threads of Destiny is a feature length fan film based in the Star Wars universe. Filming began in the summer of 2005 in Stockholm, Sweden and the release has been set to May 2009, while in the meantime a worldwide visual effects crew is working on the effects for the film. Unlike several other fan films, the story takes place approximately 100 years after the Battle of Yavin, introducing a new menace, the Skenvi Empire, to the New Republic and the reestablished Jedi Order.
Since the beginning of production, trailers and web documentaries have been released on the Threads of Destiny website and on YouTube[1].
