Temporal Blockchain is a custom designed blockchain technology that does not require the entire chain of transaction data to be stored on network nodes, allowing for increased scalability and the use of low resourced devices. As a form of distributed ledger technology, similar to Bitcoin, the Temporal Blockchain processes transactions as a peer to peer network, without the involvement of a central authority such as a bank. Trust on the network is based on a reputation system that encourages good behavior as a requirement for participation in transaction confirmations.[1]
Created by Richard Dennis Msc and Dr Gareth Owenson at Portsmouth University, UK in 2014 forming the basis of Dennis's PhD.
