I was graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in June of 2006 with a Bachelor's of Arts, majoring in history and minoring in linguistics. Because of scheduling and cross-listing of certain courses, I ended focusing on Reformation-era Europe in my major and Indo-European historical linguistics in my minor.
Soon after graduating, I moved to the Republic of Korea to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). I did this as for next five years, interspersed with some travelling through North America (including Canada and Mexico) and some 'voluntouring' in southern Africa (including South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique).
In 2011 I came back to the US and taught ESL to adults in a number of different major urban areas. These included: Las Vegas, Denver, New York City (Manhattan), and Miami and Miami Beach.
I try to maintain a broad knowledge base by extending the curiosity of my youth far enough that it becomes the curiosity of my life in general. I try to contribute to Wikipedia both as a donor and as an editor, though I admit I often fall short of laudability on both fronts.
