About me
editI've always had an interest in cars, and started photographing cars at a young age. In 2018 I discovered other Wikimedia photographers such as Mr.choppers, Kevauto, and the esteemed IFCAR, and I was inspired to start uploading my own photos to the site. It's now my goal to document as many obscure, old, interesting, or just plain boring Canadian-market vehicles as possible. I try to stick to photographing cars that are clean, undamaged, and unmodified. When referring to vehicle models, trims, body styles, and colours, I try to use the same nomenclature found in literature from the manufacturer of the vehicle.
My gear
editI started taking photos in 2018 with a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo smartphone, and later I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy A5 smartphone. Since mid-2020, I've taken the vast majority of my photos with digital cameras, my first camera being a Canon PowerShot G7. In 2021 I upgraded to a Canon PowerShot G10, in 2022 I upgraded again to a Canon PowerShot G16, and in 2024 I upgraded to my current camera which is a Canon PowerShot G5 X. I also occasionally take photos with my current smartphones, a Samsung Galaxy S21 and a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. I've only ever used smartphones or simple point-and-shoot cameras for my photography without any tripods or accessories.
