Wikipedia:Teahouse/Hosts/Editors who may be pinged
This page is to serve as a directory of editors who may not be regular hosts at the Teahouse but have expertise in particular areas and are willing to be pinged to a Teahouse discussion when a question goes unanswered or requires a better-informed opinion.
Adding
editEditors who have been here at least six months and have made more than 2,000 edits are welcome to add themselves to one of the listed areas. In the interest of brevity, the list is intended to only include the areas that Teahouse is likely to sometimes have problems answering questions about, satisfactorily. So, editors who are not regular hosts at the Teahouse are encouraged to propose at the talk page before adding a new area.
Teahouse discussions get archived within 72 hours of inactivity. There is little point to adding editors, however motivated or knowledgeable, unless they are likely to be active almost daily.
Using
editHosts should check the contributions history to see if the editors have been recently active when deciding which of them to ping to a discussion. {{Hidden ping}} is recommended.
