Bertrand101 is a long-term Wikipedia vandal known for adding hoaxes and made-up or sometimes bizarre content on several Philippine food, media and retail related articles. They began vandalizing Wikipedia in 2008, initially with different IP ranges and eventually creating their first account (Bertrand101) in July 2011.
The user has been community banned following a discussion at ANI.

- Edits the Us Girls (Philippine TV program) article, a defunct television show aired on Studio 23 (a defunct TV network) from 2006 to 2012, changing the first air date from 2006 to 1975, removing Studio 23 and replacing it with Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation (a defunct TV network) as the show's original channel, adding hoax versions of this program, usually Us Girls Kids Edition, Us Girls Tagalog Edition, Us Girls English Edition, Us Girls Mag Pinoy Muna Tayo, Batang Us Girls Batang Galing, and Mga Kwentong sa Linkod ng Us Girls; and adding a "former hosts" section, usually containing one or more of the following artists: Bert Marcelo, Edu Manzano, Mel Tiangco, Angelique Lazo, Orly Mercado, Helen Vela, Armida Siguion-Reyna, Loren Legarda, Raymond Lauchengco, Alma Moreno, Ike Lozada, Richard Reynoso, and German Moreno.:Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Edits one, if not all artists mentioned above and adds the following programs in their filmography or television section: Us Girls (any variant of the Us Girls hoax mentioned above but usually the "kids edition" or "tagalog edition"), Pangarap Kong Jackpot, City 2 Primetime News, The English Nationwide, Buhay Ngayon and/or Job Network. Also please note that the anon edits the Bert Marcelo article more often compared to the other artists. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
- Edits the redirect page Raven Broadcasting Corporation and/or the DWJM-FM article, (the radio company is a subsidiary of The Radio Partners, Inc., which controls radio station DWJM-FM) and creates a hoax article that the said company is a separate television and radio network, usually adding RBC-12 as a Metro Manila TV station (there is NO existing Channel 12 in Metro Manila, as an evidence, DZOE-TV operates at Channel 11) and adding a hoax AM radio network named "Radyo Pulso", usually using DZAP-AM 1152 as the "flagship station's" callsign, and adding either one or all of the artists mentioned in the Us Girls hoax above. - Edits the Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation article, changing all references to make it look like the station was "revived". The anon usually adds a new section and describes (in broken English) that the network was revived and took over Studio 23 and its flagship station DWAC-TV. He also does the same edits on the Studio 23 and DWAC-TV articles. Also, a familiar pattern will be seen here, he will add to the list of programs aired by the defunct BBC the following shows: Us Girls (any hoax variant), Pangarap Kong Jackpot, and BBC Primetime News. He would normally also edit the List of ABS–CBN Broadcasting Corporation channels and stations and List of television stations in the Philippines articles to reflect the "changes" made. Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
- Edits any or sometimes, all of the program list of Solar TV, IBC and Studio 23 and adds Us Girls (any hoax variant), Pangarap Kong Jackpot, etc. to their current or former program lists. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4.
- Edits either of the following articles: redirect Cebu Broadcasting Company, Easy Rock Network, FBS Radio Network Inc., Love Radio Network, Mareco Broadcasting Network and Pacific Broadcasting Systems or any of the radio stations owned by those networks, and adds hoax radio stations on the mentioned networks. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
- Edits the List of Associated Broadcasting Company TV and radio stations article or any station listed in this article, and adds hoax radio stations on the list. Example: 1, 2, 3.
- Edits the Associated Broadcasting Company article and adds a hoax radio station (DZAB) and in broken English, will explain how that station went on air. Examples: 1, 2, 3.
- Edits any list of radio/TV stations (either by region or by ownership/affiliation) and adds hoax radio stations. Usually, the hoax radio stations are based from Santiago, Isabela. Example: 1, 2, 3.
- Edits articles about radio stations, and makes arbitrary changes to the listed transmitter power. Example: 1 2
- Creates random talk pages by adding the text "{{Pp=yes|small}}". Example: 1, 2.
- Creates user page by only adding his username or IP address. Example: 1, 2
- Adding hoax "upcoming" malls of either SM Supermalls or Robinsons Malls to his hometown, Santiago, Isabela and/or its nearby towns/cities or provinces (either from Tuguerarao, Bambang, Bayombong, and frequently calls them either of the following: SM City Santiago, SM Supercenter Santiago, Isabela, SM Divisoria City Santiago, SM Calao West City Santiago, SM City Dubinan West Santiago, Isabela, SM City Bayombong among others). Vandal was also seen adding a fictitious "SM Guadalupe" in which he claims that the Guadalupe Commercial Complex in Makati City has been bought by SM and was renamed as such. - Adds the names of the following: Rey 'PJ' Abellana (father of Carla Abellana), Carlito "Bonoy" Gonzaga, Crisanta "Pinty" Gonzaga (parents of Toni and Alex Gonzaga), Ray Villania (father of Iya Villania) to Philippine newscast and/or movie articles that aired/released between 1970 to 1989. Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
- If the vandal creates a sockpuppet, he usually creates hoax news programs then adds them at the List of programs aired by Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation and adds the personalities that were mentioned above. Sometimes, he also uploads pictures of these personalities to Commons by taking a snapshot from a television using a low-resolution digital camera.
- Bertrand101 created the article Taste Buddies, a show aired on GMA News TV, using the abandoned account User:Carlito Bonoy Gonzaga. The first version of the article has a similar logic on how Bertrand101 edits the Us Girls (Philippine TV program) article from 2008 to 2012 as described above (adding a hoax claim that this show started airing sometime in the 1970's with Helen Vela, Orly Punzalan and Eddie Mercado as the original hosts. See the first version of this article and the IP-sock edited version). Taste Buddies was previously hosted Iya Villania, who also hosted Us Girls (Philippine TV program), a perennial target of Bertrand101's editing since he began editing/vandalizing articles in 2008. The "Taste Buddies" article has since been edited by IP addresses connected to Bertrand101 after abandoning the User:Carlito Bonoy Gonzaga account that created the article.
- Creates new accounts using names of Philippine TV personalities who are popular during the 1980s and 1990s. Examples are User:Tessie Tomas, User:Orly Punzalan, User:Noel Trinidad and User:Bong Lapira.
- Bertrand101 also makes new accounts based on the names of the hoax radio stations he posts in en.wiki as well as the frequency it supposed to transmit or the company that owns them. Most hoax stations are named as affiliates of "Ahas Radyo" ("snake radio" in English), which he claims to be owned by Mareco Broadcasting Network or other hoax radio networks. The said company's article has been a target of Bertrand101 from 2015 to 2016 before it got semi-protected due to Bertrand101's activities.
- Vandal also uploads copyrighted TV screenshots in Commons, taking snapshots using a digital camera and sometimes includes himself at his uploaded images. Vandal also uploads crudely drawn "logos" or "title cards" of his favorite shows and adds them here in en.wiki whenever an article for it exists. Sockmaster uses the username "Roy Sales" and whenever his account is blocked, he adds a number (or just increments the number of his previous sockpuppet before being blocked) to his username. (Example: User:Roy Sales 21, User:Roy Sales 22, User:Roy Sales 23).
- Vandal also uploads photos with the buildings in the Philippines being the subject, and radio towers, which is taken using a digital camera. The photos of the vandal that focuses on the buildings of the Philippines are considered copyright violations, as there is no freedom of panorama in the Philippines. Also the photos of radio towers taken by the vandal may be out of scope on Commons. (Example: User talk:Teddy Santiago)

- Bertrand101 is a known cross-wiki abuser. They have also been found vandalizing articles on Wikipedias in Tagalog and other languages of the Philippines (Cebuano, Hiligaynon, and Kapampangan) in addition to the Indonesian Wikipedia. The vandal is currently seen editing entries in Wikidata using IP addresses. If the vandal is seen editing in en.wiki and reported to SPI, please advise the blocking admin to consider a global block.
- Bertrand101 is also seen in Commons uploading photos of supposed locations of the hoax radio stations they have created. They have also been found creating categories for their hoax stations in Commons.
- They are also seen in WikiPilipinas, a Philippine-based Wiki encyclopedia. Whenever their user account is blocked there, they would create a new account on Wikipedia using the same username.
- They have also been spotted on OpenStreetMap as Panko kale Ty and John Castillo Soberano) and Google Maps (using various accounts, e.g. "Bulgar Radyo"), where they add nonexistent or made-up landmarks on places in the Philippines, usually related to his interests (e.g. hoax radio networks, "soon to open" malls and chain locations.) Some fake radio stations created by vandal in Google Maps were created along with low-quality fake logos to make them look legitimate. In other cases the only photos are of car radios.
- They have been inactive in editing in English Wikipedia after imposing two rangeblocks on the 180.190.0.0/16 and 180.191.64.0/19 IP ranges. They may create new accounts through other Wikipedias or in Commons using the aforementioned IP addresses in order to circumvent the block.
