SEMI-RETIRED

Don't make eye contact.
My name is Donna and I am an auto-confirmed and extended-confirmed editor on Wikipedia. That means I can create articles, move pages, edit semi-protected pages, and upload files. If any of these capacities are not available to you, please reach out to me on my talk page and I will be more than happy to help. I regularly look over pages with semi-protected edit requests and general edit requests; while you may alert me to an edit request on my talk, do be sure to keep the conversation on the article's talk page so everyone can keep track of everything. In line with this, I can also edit pages that have extended protection (blue locks) so I am available to field these edit requests as well.

The other half of the global population is woefully underrepresented on Wikipedia. I am passionate about growing the number of women on Wikipedia (both in articles as well as in editorship), and carefully look over our project to grow their representation on Wikipedia. The other-other-half are people off of Wikipedia – I'm more than happy to edit articles that are of interest to my friends and colleagues and inspire them to learn more about the project. So if you see anything on Wikipedia you would like me address, change, or expand, let me know in person or on my talk page. My goal is to preserve all human knowledge on Wikipedia so if there is something lacking let me know and I will add to it in line with our policies and at my discretion.

I am less active on the project because of a diminished interest in contributing and the time-consuming daily hassles of my life. If you are a new editor in need of assistance please visit the Help Desk. If you're a former and inactive editor-student you may redirect your user page to my user page. While I'm not active on the project anymore, I do hope that you see some of my research cited as a scientific source on Wikipedia in the future! I was an active member of WikiProject Women in Red, a group of editors motivated to create new articles about women. While I did not create the articles themselves, I did work diligently to improve recently-created articles. I worked on Wikipedia for around ten years, starting informally since 2010. I am especially proud of my work on WikiProject Women Scientists, a working group aiming to write more articles about notable female scientists and their important work.
