Wikilinking

edit

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Thanks and my best wishes.

Your User Page

edit

Hello. Your English Userpage appears to have some major flaws. It seems as if you used Google Translate, which not only causes some grammar mistakes, but also incorrect or unusual words. In the English Wikipedia, we don't use the following:

  1. "Values" - The Hebrew word ערכים is supposed to refer to Articles.
  2. "Venture" - מיזם, meaning Project, in this case a WikiProject.
  3. And "Shuyakifdim" - שויקיפדים - "that Wikipedians".

No Offence, but you Really need to work on your English. How are English Wikipedians supposed to figure out what you're Saying if they don't know what your answers in Hebrew mean? Do NOT use Google Translate for your English page. This is the same problem that I have with porting Articles to heWiki. It just doesn't work. Lior (talk) 20:21, 15 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

You insolent, both Hebrew and English in your Denied And you wake me? Do not try to play in the major leagues, the English Wikipedia, and return to where your language is bad but it is a native language, and do not be rude to me here that you can not Hebrew Wikipedia. I see boredom in your message and harassment. The Turtle Ninja (talk) 07:12, 16 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Warning about disruption caused by lack of English language ability

edit

Please stop attempting to edit the English language Wikipedia by using Google translate. Others have tried this, and honestly, it's a bad idea. From looking at your global contributions I can see that you are already involved in a wide variety of Wikimedia projects, some of which are in Hebrew, and others like Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons are multilingual. I don't want to discourage you from your involvement with other Wikimedia projects, however, if you continue to disrupt the English language Wikipedia, then you may be blocked from editing here, but not on any of the other projects. PhilKnight (talk) 22:44, 23 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, I'll stop and make edits only practical technical edits. Sincerely, The Turtle Ninja (talk) 08:18, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Michael Segal (Biblical Studies) moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Michael Segal (Biblical Studies professor). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 20:28, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
