Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 2001:A62:151B:7D02:7DCC:727E:3A8:CB95, has made edits to the page Salmon problem which do not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not already been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you did not make this change, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. gee whiz, thanks for deleting stuff like the addition of maps or fixing "ossetisch" to the proper English "Ossetian". That'll encourage a fella to contribute to the knowledge of humankind....
Oh, wait.... It won't. And y'all are honestly surprised why you seem to have a problem finding and recruiting new editors? 2001:A62:151B:7D02:7DCC:727E:3A8:CB95 (talk) 13:19, 30 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry that your edits were deleted, I'm sure that it was frustrating. The problem was that your additions included factual claims and prose that did not reference any sources. As you might know, Wikipedia already has an issue with uncited (and incorrect) material, and content that is added, whether you know it to be true or not, has to conform to the wp:VERIFIABILITY policy. Again, I'm sorry if you felt your efforts weren't appreciated (they are!) it's just that it has to be done in a proper way.
To your other point; when someone makes a large series of edits, as you did, it is very difficult to remove the unsourced content without effecting some of the minor edits that you made.
If you have a refernce for your info (or need any help finding one or learning how to cite it) please feel free to reach out to me or at The Teahouse and we would love to have it on Wikipedia.
Sorry again and better luck, Lenny Marks (talk) 13:32, 30 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
